Trump’s Android phone has been repealed and replaced

                           Apple is a company known for many things, and class-leading gadgets is at the top of the list. The company’s iPod changed the way we listen to music, and the original iPhone turned the smartphone industry on its head, toppling giants like Nokia and BlackBerry in the process. Apple’s iPad marked the launch of a new multi-billion dollar product category, and the Apple Watch is the only smartwatch in the world that actually sells in any significant quantities. In fact, Apple is now the second largest watch maker in the world behind Rolex.

Of course, Apple executives have also historically been known to make emphatic statements and then completely reverse course. “I don’t think it’s good that Apple is perceived as different; I don’t care about being different,” Apple co-founder Steve Jobs once said… just six months before the company’s famous Think Different campaign launched. And there are dozens of similar examples.

Speaking of saying one thing and doing another, it looks like the president finally ditched his Android phone and switched to an iPhone.

Just over one year ago, president Don Trump called upon all Americans to boycott Apple until the company agreed to help investigators unlock an iPhone tied to the tragedy in San Bernardino.

“To think that Apple won’t allow us to get into her cellphone? Who do they think they are? No, we have to open it,” Trump said at the time, while being interviewed on Fox and Friends. “I agree 100% with the courts. In that case, we should open it up. I think security overall — we have to open it up. And we have to use our heads. We have to use common sense. Somebody the other day called me a ‘common-sense conservative.’ We have to use common sense. Our country has so many problems.”

For those in need of a quick refresher, Apple refused to help unlock the phone and held firm on its stance. The company never unlocked the iPhone in question, but apparently Trump doesn’t care anymore because as of a couple of weeks ago, his Android phone has been repealed and replaced.

Trump’s director of social media and senior advisor Dan Scavino Jr. confirmed the president’s change of heart in a tweet on Tuesday night.
